Gratitude

Many thanks to all the happy customers who
kept us rocking in Langley this weekend!!

Ann Flynn . . . you really knocked it out of
the ballpark--excellent turnout and congrats
on attracting new talent to your charming
show. It was a well-rewarded effort and a
really fun time with some of the nicest
people in the biz.

Only three days to completely unload and
reload for the legendary FARM CHICKS
Show in Spokane . . . gonna need plenty of
caffeine and Wheaties (nah, forget it--chocolate!!)

Preview coming soon . . . .

White Wednesday - Farm Chicks Snippet

Dropped off my gifts for Timi's Junk Junket Bus

on Monday . . . one check-mark off the list.

Not being the talented repurposer so many of YOU are, I opted

to give a vintage stencil and a wonderful,

antique "promissory note"--incredible graphics.

Also, a "15% off entire purchase" discount coupon !!

This is the cutest little white fridge waiting to hop in the van!

Lots of "sweet treats" will be filling my booth at Farm Chicks!

. . . the only kind of flower I can successfully "grow"--metal!

This 1940's wedding gown with train has the most

amazing, crinkley fabric. It's so small

in the bodice--can't believe that anyone could be so tiny.

It belonged to a ballet dancer who called herself "Red Shoes"!

Back to packing for both the Langley and Farm Chicks shows . . . hope

you have a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend.

So many friends & family have sacrificed their freedom so

that we can live as we do . . . I remember them with great appreciation!!

Sneek Peek * * * Langley Antique Show * * *

Let's be optimistic . . . we *will* have warm weather soon, right?!

These two wrought-iron chairs are part of a complete dining set that

is ideal for display in home or garden/patio . . . wait till you see the table

(it has metal strawberries all over it--Italian tole!!!)

A *crowning achievement*, this chandy would be a fantastic

focal point in your garden room or kitchen!

A garden-themed couple, gracing the cover

of this Victorian photo album, will be accompanied by vintage

figurals who could almost be "twins"!

I've kept this darling surrey-topped pram for

many years . . . having discovered it

at one of the Willow Nest shows in lovely days gone by.

Looks utterly charming filled with flowers on the porch

or cradling a doll or teddy bear collection.

Nautical items will be in attendance: fishnet floats,

old ship lanterns, the BEST antique fishing rod,

green-winged teal, and a carved wood fish.

The Langley Antique Show is one of the most relaxing,

beautiful and enjoyable shows I have the

pleasure of participating in. Maybe it's the natural

negative ions emanating from Puget Sound . . . or

maybe it's just the fantastic, cream-of-the-crop

dealers Ann Flynn has attracted to this intimate and

charming venue . . . you will love it!!!

Fishtrap Creek Interiors . . . the masculine touch!

Welcome to the "yang" of the "yin" at Fishtrap Creek Interiors

in Lynden, Washington. In April, I focused

on Shelley Versteeg-Smit's graceful redux of her beach cottage.

This post is about Corey Jensen--the

masculine, utterly charming and talented

design counterpart at Fishtrap Creek.

With so much white, white, white showing up everywhere, here's

a stunning nod to those who love wood and warm tones combined with

dark countertops, European-style iron lighting and leather!

Corey's recommendations for flooring balanced the

room, preventing a cave-like ambience, while

showing off some very sophisticated design combinations.

. . . altogether classic and classy!

Here's another look at Corey's talent: a serene WHITE kitchen.

Just perfect!

On a more personal note, Corey selected the above treasures

from Ormolulu to add refined touches to

his own home. The Tiffany-style lamp, confidently

placed on the American Empire game table, is very well-

balanced with the collection of cut-crystal decanters.

Corey's appreciation for the Asian arts is reflected in his

gorgeous collection of ikebana baskets--simple but elegant.
