FARM CHICKS DEBUT

Still reeling from the *JOY* of the Farm Chicks Show . . . trying to recover from the immense heat, sweating, lifting, packing, hauling and "aging" body under pressure, it was the greatest experience I've had in recent memory!!!

A special THANKS goes out to my dear sister, Peggy, who--despite having no interest or experience in the wild world of vintage--gave me great support and help in my hour of need. Despite her physical issues (very real), she was a trooper to the very end!  To have you with me, Peggy, was a source of great satisfaction to me.  Hope you survived in one piece!!

As Murphy's Law would have it, my camera died and didn't recover after taking the first round of photos.  I wanted to capture so many more people and booths, but must now leave that to the rest of you talented bloggers out there!!

I rarely escaped my booth, since the activity was so consistent . . . guess that's a good problem to have!  In the 12 years I've been doing shows, I've never met a finer crowd of customers and dealers alike.  "Paradise" comes to mind as I collect my thoughts and reflect on all the many fine moments this past weekend . . . from the exquisite hospitality of my friends from high school days in Walla Walla, Dave & Leisa Moss (spoiled us rotten!!), their very talented son, Brandon, who performed on his viola for us, to the AWESOME party sponsored by Barn House Boys, Queen of Tarte, and Chaps (could go on and on and on and on!!!), to the fine customers interested in fully participating in this special event . . . I remain in an exhilarated state of bliss!

If I had an "11" paddle, I'd be holding it up!!   I'm still dancing IN the stars--what an experience, and I know this feeling was shared by many others.

Despite being restricted by just ONE VAN LOAD for this particular trip, I hope there was enough eye-candy for the customers . . . and, judging from my results, it was triumphant!!  My cutie-pie neighbors Jacquie & Jennifer of Twiggy 59 termed my booth "cute as snot" . . . sniff-sniff!!!  What a compliment, given how limited structure was in my mix!

Hope that Dawn of Great Findz recovered from the two crashes of glass I heard a few spaces down from me.  That's either an incredible way to drive customers out of your space or go for the "sympathy" purchase, Dawn!!  You did a fabulous booth!

Additional neighbors Bella Shabby, Barn House Boys, & Effie's Heart rounded out a small circle of friends during this VERY BUSY show . . . don't know what I would have done without their good spirits!!  Thanks again, Jermonne, for your quick response on averting tragedy with my falling electric parasol!!!  Man, you are QUICK!!!

One more big, sloppy THANK YOU to all the amazing customers, friends, dealers, and top-of-the-heap show promoters, Teri & Serana . . . WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Onward and forward . . . FUNKY JUNK SISTERS  DEBUT THIS WEEKEND IN PUYALLUP, WASHINGTON.  LET'S THUMB OUR NOSES AT THIS "ECONOMY" AND CONTINUE TO SUPPORT A TASTY, GREEN, EXCITING EXPERIENCE OF VINTAGE . . . IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!
